What we collect

When you use a form on this website (enquiry or quote, free assessment, distributor application, where to buy, or newsletter), we receive what you type in:

  • your name, email address and, if you give it, your phone number;
  • depending on the form: your company, country, city, sector, equipment, fuel type, fuel volumes, preferred date, territory and current product lines;
  • your message, and the fact that you ticked the consent box.

With each form we also record the date and time, a short description of your browser, the page where your visit started, the website or campaign that sent you (if any), and a one-way scrambled version of your internet (IP) address. The scrambled version is used only to stop repeated or automated submissions. Your actual IP address is not stored.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and to carry out the assessment, trial, quote, supply or partnership you asked about.
  • To send the monthly newsletter, only if you subscribed. Every issue has an unsubscribe link.
  • To keep the website secure and free of spam.

We process your data on the basis of the consent you give when you tick the box on a form, and for the purpose you gave it for. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

You can withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, by emailing info@decarbmatrix.com or using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter. Withdrawal does not affect anything we did with your data before you withdrew.

Who we share it with

Your details are stored in our website database at our web hosting provider and emailed to our team at info@decarbmatrix.com. Our hosting and email providers process the data only on our instructions. Where you ask us to, we may pass your enquiry to the distributor appointed for your area. We share data with authorities only where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your request and any follow-up, and then delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

To be confirmed: the retention period for enquiries and newsletter subscriptions.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

  • get a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
  • have it corrected, completed, updated or erased;
  • have a grievance about our handling of your data resolved;
  • nominate a person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become unable to.

If you are in another country, you may also have the right to restrict or object to our use of your data, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

Grievances

If you have a concern about how we handle your personal data, contact our grievance officer. We will respond within the time the law sets. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

This website is for businesses and adult vehicle owners. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

Security

The website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Access to enquiries is limited to the staff who need it, and internet addresses are stored only in scrambled form.

Calculators and the mileage tracker

The calculators work in your browser. Your figures reach us only if you ask us to email you a report. Mileage tracker entries stay in your browser on your device and are never sent to us.
