01
The challenge
A copper products plant near Hyderabad fires its furnace on furnace oil. Every litre per hour goes straight into the cost of each batch, so the production team wanted to see the effect in its own fuel log.
02
The method
The plant’s production team compared measured fuel use per hour before and with DeCarb Furnace Oil Plus, tested under its earlier name, FO Plus, in a one-week comparison in February and March 2021. The furnace and burners were not changed.
03
The results
Measured fuel use fell from 44.48 to 40.26 litres per hour, a 9.5% reduction, within one week. The comparison was signed by the plant’s production team.
Bars start at zero, so a difference is never drawn larger than it is.
